Action for Compassion
(AFRICA)

Is a non-governmental organization dedicated to changing lives and transforming communities. Every Tuesday, the organization conducts a continuing education program for children in need. They set up a tent on the beach, gather the children together, and teach them how to read and write. Additionally, they organize sports activities such as soccer to keep the children engaged and off the streets. The organization also runs a program aimed at empowering women within their communities through arts and crafts and actively participates in various conferences and workshops to promote its vision of building a happy Africa through collective action.

Is an organization that in 18 years has impacted more than 13 thousand children and young people using sports and art to strengthen their life projects. Participants are given the opportunity to belong to and work for a collective, the freedom to imagine and decide their life projects, and the hope to fulfill their dreams. With their innovative approach centered on play, they promote psychosocial skills, encourage learning in sports, artistic and technological disciplines, and cultivate youth leadership with a gender perspective.

Since 2014, they promote equity, justice and dignity for marginalized communities. As a black non-profit organization, their mission is to defend fundamental rights and combat racism and all forms of discrimination, generating new opportunities for people in situations of social vulnerability in Goiás. They also develop actions to rescue Afro-Brazilian culture, demonstrating how ancestral knowledge can improve the quality of life through education, art and culture. In addition, they have programs to eradicate poverty among women and girls in Brazil and empower marginalized young people with cultural activities, always striving for a more equitable society.

RISE
(USA)

RISE is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, promote social justice and improve race relations. Through partnerships and programs, RISE inspires leaders in sports to create positive change on matters of race and equality. RISE programs build skills and create safe spaces to have difficult conversations. RISE equips students, athletes, coaches and administrators with the tools to be culturally competent, effective advocates for racial equity and leaders in addressing racism, prejudice, diversity and inclusion. RISE's vision is to create a nation unified through sports committed to racial equity and social justice.

Malaika
(RABAT - SALÉ)

The Malaika centers are educational establishments dedicated to the schooling of children with Trisomy 21, offering speech therapy and psychomotricity support. Since October 2012, these centers have been welcoming, mainly pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, within two public schools, Malaika Rabat in the Océan district, and Malaika Salé in the Tabriquet district. Employing 20 full-time staff, the centers are run by a specialized teaching team comprising speech therapists, psychologists, psychomotricians, specialized educators and administrative staff. In addition to education, the centers offer a comprehensive service for the 60 pupils enrolled, including school transport to alleviate the daily difficulties of these children and their parents.
